“Showroom Condition”

** BODY CONDITION **

I have restored several Land Cruisers as a hobby. I normally travel to California, Arizona, Idaho, or New Mexico to find one I term worthy of a restoration. If rust is a major concern with the vehicle I will not consider restoring it. I have always heard about “barn found” vehicles and also have been very skeptical of these finds. I am now a believer that some of these vehicles do exist. I found this one for sale in a local publication stored in a barn six miles from my house. It was an “ugly duckling” when I first saw it but the basis for a restoration was there. None of the dreaded rust to contend with on this vehicle. The only body issues of concern were the front fenders which were replaced with factory OEM replacements. It was repainted piece-by-piece using factory Freeborn Red (color code #309). **ALL STEEL** No fiberglass, aluminum, rhino liner, or diamond plate on this BEAUTY. This is an original soft top model with a new Toyota replacement top with door fabric inserts (factory steel doors also come with it).
