1971 FJ40. This cruiser comes to us from California for a RMC Platium restoration. We will be upgrading the cruiser with a 2F, 4 speed, front disc brakes, and powersteering. This cruiser has been disassembled and dismantled. The frame, body tub, and panels have been sent out to be blasted in preparation of paint and bodywork. Next we will be rebuilding the front and rear axles, adding disc brakes as we wait for the return of the frame. With the return of all our chassis components from paint we have begun the assembly of the rolling chassis. With the driveline completed we have reinstalled the cooling system, new brake lines and fuel lines. We have undercoated our bodytub, painted the firewall along with the inside of the front fenders and bib. Reinstalled front sheet metal and body tub. Exterior of this cruiser has been painted. Interior has been bedlined. A new wiring harness has been installed. Now the fun begins, all the hard work pays off - reassembly (it really starts to look like a FJ40 again). This cruiser has been completed and awaiting shipping back to California. Completed 1/05/2006.
