Door Weather-stripping Installation Instructions Tools Needed: Sissors, 3M Adhesive, Masking Tape 1. Check the replacement seal. The replacement seal may not be exactly the same profile as your original rubber. Take careful note of the way your old door seal fits to the door before removal to ensure correct placement. 2. Start at the top center of the door. 3. Apply 3M Adhesive to a 12"section of the door and seal. Always follow instructions on your adhesive package before starting installation. 4. Slowly apply the 12" section to the glued section of the door. 5. Place 4-5 pieces of masking tape over the seal to hold in place. Leave in place for at least 30 minutes. Do not leave the tape on overnight. 6. Slowly work your way around the door with 12" sections at a time until completed. 7. Your seal may be a little long and may require trimming to complete. |
